Albion ace Bobby Zamora has pledged to win the title for broken leg victim Gary Hart.

Hart broke his left leg in the eighth minute of Saturday's 1-0 win at Peterborough.

Zamora, who scored his 32nd goal of the season on his comeback from a dislocated shoulder, revealed: "The gaffer came in at half time, said he had broken a leg and to go and get a win for Gary.

"That's what we did. I was gutted to hear he had hurt himself so badly. My shoulder was bad enough, but this is a little bit more serious.

"We just wish him the best for a quick recovery. It would be nice for him to get a championship medal as well. We will try and do that for Gary and ourselves."

Hart was hurt as he went to challenge Peterborough defender Marc Joseph.

He was stretchered off to hospital but returned to Brighton on the team coach.

Boss Peter Taylor said: "Most people are thinking about Gary. We think he is going to be okay for the start of next season.

"We spoke at half time and we were all desperate to get him a result. Thankfully we did.

"The players are a close bunch and will help him recover. He will do that anyway. He is such a cracking professional.

"He fell on himself. He went for a challenge which I am not so sure he should have gone for. That is typical of Gary, he is such a brave player."
