Tom Kirkby has kept a promise to shoot his first film in the resort which has a claim on his affections.
He is writer and director of The Blind Spot, a feature-length thriller set largely in Brighton.
For Kirkby, who knows the city well, the romance with Brighton is anything but a blind date.
