Albion boss Peter Taylor has warned wins should not be taken for granted in the promotion run-in.

The table-topping Seagulls need a maximum of five points from the final three matches to be certain of a place in Division One next season.

They travel to Peterborough on Saturday, entertain Swindon a week later and finish at Port Vale on April 20.

All three opponents are in mid-table with no chance of being involved in either the promotion or relegation issues.

Taylor said: "We are playing three teams now that are all safe, all with nothing to play for but who will play with a lot of freedom. Sometimes that is more dangerous, so there is still a lot to do.

"The players are very focused. I am pleased with what I am seeing in the changing room and it's onto the next one."

It will all be wrapped up for the Seagulls on Saturday if they win and Brentford draw with Huddersfield at Griffin Park.

Alternatively, Albion could go up on Sunday providing both they and Brentford have won and Reading fail to follow suit at Tranmere in a match put back 24 hours to avoid clashing with the Grand National.

Their points target to guarantee promotion is reduced, because Reading and Brentford clash at Griffin Park on the last day of the season.

Added Taylor: "The best thing going for us is that Brentford have got to play Reading.

"It has been a very nice Easter, but what we have got to concentrate on is getting three points."

The players were given 48 hours off to recharge their batteries following Monday's last-gasp 2-1 win against Bristol City at Withdean.

They were reporting back for training today at the University of Sussex, Falmer, to prepare for Saturday's all-ticket tussle at Peterborough.

The Seagulls are sweating on the fitness of Paul Brooker, forced off in the first half on Monday by an ankle injury.

They are already without dislocated shoulder victim Bobby Zamora and the suspended Daniel Webb for the trip to London Road.

Tickets are still available to away supporters scheme members at the ticket office in Queens Road, Brighton.
