Horsham YMCA moved into the semi-finals of the Sussex Floodlight Cup with a 2-0 win over Eastbourne Borough at Gorings Mead.
Borough fielded their Reserve Section winning side, as they have done throughout this competition, but in the first half their inexperience against a first team side showed as they were run ragged by YM.
Borough had Dean Lightwood to thank for two brilliant saves from Nick Flint and Joel O'Hara, but it was Flint who gave YM the lead in the tenth minute when he finished off a good move with a low drive.
Borough did slowly come into the game but missed chances from Derrick Smith and Khan Stevens meant they went into the break 1-0 down.
The young Borough side matched their opponents in the second half until the 75th minute when YM went 2-0 up.
Flint was again the scorer, this time from the penalty spot after Luke Denton had fouled O'Hara
