Tributes have been pouring in from friends of a teenager found dead by the side of a railway line.

The body of 16-year-old Patrick Cummins, of Gerald Road, Worthing, was found by a train driver between Bairds foot crossing and Ferring Road crossing, Angmering, near Littlehampton, on March 24.

It is believed he was electrocuted.

He had been to a party with friends in East Preston the night before.

Laura and Mark Watts, two of his closest friends, have written a touching poem in memory of Patrick, who was a GCSE student at Chatsmore Catholic High School in Goring, near Worthing.

Laura, 15, and her 18-year-old brother knew Patrick as a "funny, intelligent and caring person."

The poem is entitled We'll All Miss You.

It reads: "Though you are no longer with us Pat, everyday we find that you're back there in our minds.

"We might hear a piece of music and at once our minds are stirred back to a funny moment which us and you have shared.

"We'd never try to stop them, we let them just flow through....it brings back all the memories of all of us and you.

"We will never forget you Pat. RIP."

Mark met Patrick at school, introduced him to Laura and the three were friends for years.

Laura said: "He is a person who will be missed by all his friends and family.

"No one will ever forget what a great person he was.

"He liked hip-hop and rap music. He looked out for everyone."

Patrick's body has not been released by police so funeral details have not been finalised.

Detective Inspector Alan Jenkinson said: "We do not know how his body came to be by the side of the track.

"It could have been either a complete accident or there could have been someone else involved."
