The older generation have a lot to offer even when they become centenarians.

They may not be as nimble on their toes but some of them have the sharpest of minds with wonderful recollections of what they have witnessed in their 100 years, just as the late Queen Mother did.

They recall aeroplanes being invented, the development of cars and moon landings.

But what will the younger generation recall many years from now? Perhaps surgically enhanced physiques, babies created by cloning or sports matches played on screens instead of pitches to prevent injury to hugely expensive players?
