It is hardly surprising some of the students of Worthing College support their headteacher in his efforts to modernise the educational facilities (The Argus, March 21), although it must be pointed out most of them will have moved on without experiencing at first hand the detrimental effect on local traffic and the environment those of us who live here permanently will suffer on a daily basis.
It is also worth commenting on the remarks by one of the students on the existing traffic and parking problems.
Since I assume the student quoted drives to the college every day, I would point out the distance from Woodlea Road to Bolsover Road is just 1.3 miles.
It might be suggested it would be more beneficial to his health and the local environment if he were to try cycling.
This would also help, in a small way, to overcome the existing problems.
