Bognor suffered a second defeat in four days as they lost 1-0 at home to Wealdstone.

The Rocks started well and in the opening ten minutes Matt Russell met a David Birmingham cross only to see his header tipped over the top by David Godfrey.

With the visitors quite content to sit back and rely on the counter attack a quick break saw Mick Swaysland play a ball inside to Martin Carter whose shot was well saved by Craig Stoner.

Bognor continued to have lots of possession but found the visiting defence a hard nut to crack.

The Stones took the lead in the 27th minute when again a quick breakaway saw Marvin Morgan find Swaysland and, although his shot was parried by Stoner, Carter was the first to react to fire in the rebound off the far post.

Bognor almost caught out the visitors with a quick break and when David Birmingham's cross was met by Russell his clever flick was blocked.

The nearest Bognor came to finding the net was deep in the second half when Russell drove a shot against the post with keeper Godfrey well beaten.

A superb display from Horsham saw them beat third placed Great Wakering Rovers 3-0 at Queen Street in division two.

Gary Charman was the first half hero for the Hornets. After leaving the field for treatment in the sixth minute after falling badly on his arm he returned to put Horsham into a two-goal lead at the break.

After 13 minutes he headed home at the far post from Steve Payne's right wing cross and eight minutes later he curled the ball past Wakering goalkeeper Dave Hudson after cutting inside his defender on the left edge of the penalty area.

Jamie Taylor put Horsham three ahead just after the hour when he crashed home Lee Carney's corner via the right post.

Luke Gedling hit the left post in the 82nd minute.
