Councillor Barnard-Langston, who defected from the Tories to the Liberal Democrats, said: "The Conservative Party nationally appears to be a ship without a rudder seeking to appeal to the populist vote."
That being so, why did she join the local Lib-Dems, who will say just about anything if it wins them votes?
