How dare Edina Winston (Letters, January 24) insinuate that parents dumped their kids in Brighton's Churchill Square creche?
It doesn't sound as if she has ever been inside. If she had, she would not have seen any seven to 12-year-olds at all, only toddlers playing happily with equipment for their age group.
If parents want a place that promotes the development of young children, send them to nursery school.
The creche - yes, Mrs Winston, it was a creche - did what it was supposed to. While parents did their shopping, qualified and caring staff looked after their children.
If Mrs Winston wants to spend £13 for 45 minutes playing a musical instrument and singing songs, she can do so but she might find she will be doing it on her own.
