Sandra Ebrahimi said "pensioners are still having to go to the post office to collect their pensions" (Letters, January 29). I would beg to differ.
Both my parents, who are in their 80s, and my mother-in-law choose this method of getting their pension.
It gives them an outing, a bit of exercise and, usually, a chance to chat to someone.
If, in the future, they are unable to walk to the post office, they will have their pension deposited in their bank account.
