The Argus (January 28) reported Councillor Oxley as saying: "Since Councillor Barnard-Langston has been a councillor in Goldsmid we lost a seat there to Labour for the first time in living memory. I do not intend that to happen again."
On behalf of the Labour Party members of Goldsmid ward, we want to make it clear Jenny had no part in losing that Conservative seat. Rather, we, the local Labour Party, won it.
Coun Oxley may look to the other two Goldsmid seats. We intend to win them too.
