A woman was punched in the face and some of her hair was pulled out in a fracas at a pub in Eastbourne.
The 45-year-old victim was attacked outside the Parkfield pub in Lindfield Road.
PC Vicky Richards said: "The injuries this woman received were fairly minor but the assault was vicious in its manner."
