I am horrified to learn the Government is launching war on single mums in April.
From that date, they will be offered a job and if they refuse will lose all benefits.
Members of Parliament can award themselves £100,000 a year in expenses, yet they must pounce on single mums.
Mothers will be offered jobs shelf-stacking in supermarkets.
Their wages will never cover the amount of benefits lost.
Who is to meet the children coming home from school? Who is to see to the sick child?
Single mums have the hardest job on earth. What sort of evil mind is it that wants to torment defenceless human beings?
I hope The Argus and its readers will rise up in defence of single mums and demand this horrible measure is thrown in the dustbin.
