Shoppers could be forgiven for not believing their eyes when they saw five famous faces in a shopping centre.
The celebrities were look-alikes celebrating Christmas at the Martlets Shopping Centre in Burgess Hill on Saturday.
They were there to help launch the centre's festival day with Father Christmas arriving in the Batmobile in a blaze of glory.
Among the famous were Lily Savage, Harry Enfield dressed as Kevin the sulky teenager, and Charlie Chaplin.
Organisers also called in a pair of arch enemies to liven up the atmosphere in the form of Batman and the Penguin.
Shoppers were invited to hunt for the stars and get their autographs for a first prize of £100 in vouchers.
