It took intervention by The Argus to get a refund and an apology for Hazel Craig-Hallam after she had her car wrongly clamped.
It should never had come to that.
Her vehicle was targeted at Bognor station even though she had paid for a parking ticket at the booking office.
Mrs Craig-Hallam was given a lot of aggravation and inconvenience when she had behaved perfectly correctly.
There are plenty of people who should be penalised for breaking parking regulations. They plainly do not include this 76-year-old pensioner.
The security and rail companies should look again at their procedures to make sure it doesn't happen again and that it's easier to buy parking tickets from a machine in the first place.
