Someone wicked must have had a shocking grudge against Manoosh Shoai to have scarred her for life.

Today The Argus shows how the Iranian businesswoman had her face slashed with a knife from her forehead to her chin.

It was a ruthless, premeditated attack by a masked man outside Mrs Shoai's home, which is still causing her nightmares a fortnight later.

The fear is this man could strike again, either against Mrs Shoai or another member of her family.

No wonder she's scared to go outside her home in Goring and is under guard day and night.

The attacker must have known this form of attack on an elegant woman would have been particularly damaging, emotionally and mentally.

Every time she looks in the mirror there will be a vivid reminder of that awful night, despite all the skills of plastic surgeons.

It is rare for someone to plan an attack such as this, designed to disfigure a woman rather than to kill her.

There is a large reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of this knifeman.

No one in the Shoai family or their neighbours will feel safe until he is behind bars.
