A 14-year-old girl was seriously injured last night when the car she was travelling in with her sister and mother crashed.
The accident happened on the eastbound A27 opposite the Havenwood Caravan Park, near Arundel.
The girl's 21-year-old sister was driving the Vauxhall Corsa when it was involved in a crash with a Renault Cleo just after 6pm.
The 14-year-old girl was seriously hurt. She had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, with a suspected fractured neck.
The family, from Littlehampton, were all taken to St Richard's, the driver suffering from bruising and shock and the mother with slight injuries.
The driver of the other car, a 54-year-old man from Worthing, was also taken to St Richard's with slight injuries.
