An elderly man drove into his wife while trying to get his car out of a driveway.
The accident happened in Aldsworth Avenue, Goring, at noon yesterday.
The woman suffered cuts and bruises to her leg and was taken to Worthing Hospital.
Police said the couple, who have not been named but are believed to be in their 70s, owned a white Rover automatic car.
Sergeant Marcus Stuart of Shoreham traffic police said: "He accidentally nudged her sideways and she fell over.
"She suffered a few bruises to her leg but was not at all shaken when we arrived. She took it all in her stride."
Police said they would not be investigating.
