Eastbourne Borough have signed Gavin Geddes from Worthing.

Geddes is the first high profile name to leave Woodside Road in the wake of manager Sammy Donnelly's departure and he goes straight into Borough's squad for tomorrow's home match against Dr Martens League eastern division match with Tonbridge Angels at Priory Lane.

Borough are now sixth after stretching their unbeaten run to ninth games with Tuesday's 3-0 home win over Sittingbourne, their fifth successive win.

Matt Crabb, who missed the game after damaging his ankle playing badminton, and goalkeeper Dean Lightwood (thigh) are their only doubts.

TOP scorer Warren Bagnall is Crawley's main doubt for the trip to Chelmsford in the Dr Martens League premier division.

Bagnall limped off during the leaders' 3-0 win over Havant & Waterlooville last Saturday with an ankle injury and was missing on Wednesday when Reds won 1-0 at Ringmer in the Senior Cup.

Rob Collins, who has hit five goals in the last three games, is likely to partner Steve Restarick up front although boss Billy Smith is considering moving Warren Waugh into attack.

Reds tossed away a 2-0 lead against Chelmsford earlier in the season to draw 3-3 and Smith is expecting another hard battle tomorrow.

He said: "They spent £27,000 on two strikers in the summer and their results have been improving. It will be an interesting game."
