Planners should be aware development along the low-lying South Coast is increasingly at risk from flooding because of higher tides.
In a few years, after the King Alfred Centre has been redeveloped, it would be prudent to extend Hove Lawns to Shoreham on top of a heightened sea defence to protect the coast road from flooding.
