Heroin has been seized by police in a drugs clampdown in Eastbourne
Five bedsits were raided simultaneously by 15 police officers.
They found some £100-worth of heroin, thought to be for private use, and a benefit book, believed to be stolen.
Five people were arrested.
It was part of an ongoing campaign by police in the East Downs division and Eastbourne Borough Council.
Sergeant Rob Barrasford, of the newly-formed Eastbourne community problem-solving team, said: "This is the first example of a new operation where local police and Eastbourne Borough Council have worked closely together to deal with anyone who is repeatedly committing crime in an area.
"Though this was not a huge drugs recovery, it shows that we will deploy officers to tackle drug-related crime when resources allow."
Officers also arrested a man in Eastbourne town centre for possessing, with intent to supply, a Class A drug.
At his home, drugs thought to be heroin and cocaine worth £1,000 were seized.
Operation Blockhouse, the division-wide campaign to combat drugs crime, was launched in September.
Police have made 84 arrests and seized £45,000 worth of drugs and stolen property.
