Patcham have qualified for the National Schools Athletics Cup final next month. They will compete in the intermediate girls event.
Their team were second in the regional race at Belvedere, Kent. Hannah Bates was second, Keely Gunn fifth, Hannah Chong 14th, Jessica Fletcher 22nd, Emma Knight 25th and Lucy Greenough 27th. They scored 43 points behind Tonbridge Grammar's 40. Warden Park (Cuckfield) were third.
Teacher Andy Hulks said "We have a strong team this year. I was delighted to turn the tables on Warden Park. They have beaten us four times out four in the Cup."
Patcham's junior boys were ninth out of 12. Ashley Whitcomb was their best placed individual in tenth.
