A man was found unconscious with head injuries in a Worthing town centre car park.
The victim, who has not been named, was found by a member of the public in Worthing's High Street car park on Sunday November 4 at 8.35pm.
He was taken to Worthing Hospital and released after treatment.
A police spokesman said the man had earlier become involved in an argument with people in a town centre bar.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time to contact Detective Constable Janice Dempsey on 0845 6070999.
