Familiarity does not breed contempt as far as Burgess Hill boss Gary Croydon is concerned.

His table-topping side were drawn to play Sussex rivals Selsey in the third round of the FA Vase.

The Hillians boss will be preparing for the visit of Danny Hinshelwood's side on December 8 with the same attention to detail they would bestow on visitors from another league.

Croydon said: "We are just delighted to have a home draw. A home draw is all you can ask for.

"You usually look forward to playing other sides from outside the league at this stage but we have Selsey and that means we have to do just as much homework, in fact even more, as this becomes a Sussex derby as it is the Vase and we are the only two County League sides left in it."

Hinshelwood admitted: "It's disappointing we are not at home but we are happy with the draw.

"We shall be the underdogs and the pressure will be on them to win as they are at home but over the past few seasons we have produced good displays there. We have nothing to lose and will just enjoy it. "

Lewes will play host to Western League Hallen, who beat Chichester 4-2 on Saturday.
