Two lorry drivers were injured today when their vehicles were involved in a crash.

One driver had to be cut free by firefighters, who battled for an hour to rescue him from his cab.

The 40-year-old man had a fractured left arm and a fractured left leg. He also had cuts to his face and was given pain relief at the scene by an emergency-response doctor.

The other driver, a 38-year-old man, complained of neck and back pain. Both drivers were taken to hospital in Redhill.

The accident happened on the A264 between the Great Doux roundabout and the Rusper roundabout at Horsham at about 6.19am.
