A would-be burglar was bitten by a police dog after he was spotted climbing scaffolding.
Neighbours in Denmark Terrace, Brighton, raised the alarm last night and a police dog team was sent to search the area.
The offender ran but was caught by the police dog. He was bitten but not seriously hurt.
A 36-year-old local man was helping with police inquiries today.
