I am absolutely disgusted with Unison members for supporting the two social workers in the tragic case of John Smith.
In my opinion, they should be charged with neglect. It's no use blaming increasing workloads - they saw the injuries and should have followed it up.
When Maria Colwell died, it was said this sort of thing would not be allowed to happen again.
The head of social services should be dismissed too. One last thing - I am a member of Unison.
