Police have named a 22-year-old Mid Sussex woman who was killed when her car crashed into a tree.
Joanna Wickham, of Weald Close, Hurstpierpoint, lost control of her red Peugeot as she headed south towards Cuckfield on the B2036 and hit a tree.
Firefighters from Haywards Heath and paramedics were soon at the scene but could not save her life.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash, at 4.24pm on Tuesday, and are appealing for witness to come forward.
They are also want to hear from the driver of a Vauxhall Corsa who stopped at the Balcombe garage following the crash to ask for help.
