Why is the Green Party in Brighton so keen on committee meetings?

Having sat through too many committee meetings myself, they seem to be no more than a platform for people (men) who like the sound of their own voices.

How can this be more democratic than an elected mayor would be?

The Victorian aldermen had their day 100 years ago. Modern-day Britain deserves a new approach.

Perhaps the Greens should consider all-women shortlists next time.
