Mirror, mirror, mirrorball, what's the best club night of them all?

Well, depends on your taste. Did you know more and more of Brighton's best club nights have their very own web sites? With about 30 venues and more clubs per square mile than any other English city, it's not surprising.

Dadooronron at The Hanbury Ballroom, St. George's Road, Kemp Town, is a rather special night for the girls. Its entire web site is "femme-centric" and "6-Ts" sic themed. It is dedicated to the fantastic female popstresses of that swinging era. Bask in it girls. It's fab and groovy.

The site tells punters just what clap-along epics the DJs will play to get you in the mood. Pastel pictures of Dusty and Aretha sit sulkily behind the hit lists. Groups frequently hitting the decks include the Supremes, Cher, Tina Turner, The Ronnettes, The Shangri-La's, The Crystals and The Velvettes.

You can also hit the A to Z of Dadooronron girls: An illustrated alphabet of femme fatales from Sixties film, fashion and song. It's a doo-lang Sixties thang with not one male lead vocal to be heard.

Now calm down and pour us a sherry, Gerry, for it's time you knew of Margot's Parties. Forever preserving the Penelope Keith legend, this theme night also happens at The Hanbury Ballroom.

The site shows all the funny flyer pictures from the past and cyber surfers are encouraged to dress up with bobtails, boas, cuffs and corsets. Many of these - as well as ridiculously long eyelashes - can be seen at the site's very impressive and glittery photo gallery of previous Margot nights.

Are you a seriously serious clubber? Well, before you cough up a fistful of fivers for a naff night out, check out web sites for Brighton's more dance house-orientated club nights.

The Perfume Garden at Pool, Marine Parade, is a good contender with a very cool place in cyberspace.

Site visitors can check out the tunes on offer, read about the DJs that are playing and up-coming dates.

There's a message board, a mailing list and real player audio to get you in the mood.

The Honeyclub, at King's Road Arches, offers its virtual visitors four hard-hitting dance tracks to listen to while surfing. Check out details for Contagious on Thursdays (funky tunes and recent dance anthems), Kinky on Fridays (classy dance) or Stardust on Mondays (Seventies and Eighties).
