Luke Palmer grabbed an excellent victory in the BEMSEE club's 250 Grand Prix class at Cadwell Park last Saturday.

Palmer, from Plumpton Green, and team-mate Ed Biggs, from Sayers Common, were in excellent form again to consolidate second and third places in the championship.

Twenty-three-year-old Palmer finished third in the first race and won the second, while Biggs, also 23, finished second in both.

While class leader Terry Brian has already has the title in his possession, Palmer is looking good for second place. Biggs, meanwhile, has increased his advantage over the fourth placed man Robert England with three rounds still to go.

Palmer said: "I have only got to get a couple more decent finishes and I have definitely got second place for the series."

Standings: 1. Terry Brian 379pts, 2. Luke Palmer 272, 3. Ed Biggs 242, 4. Robert England 199, 5. Richard Norris 172, 6. Lee Sanders 128.
