A moped rider has been killed in a crash with a car near Pyecombe.
The accident happened on the Saddlescombe road near Newtimber yesterday just before 6pm.
The moped was in collision with a Ford Focus driven by a 29-year-old man from Hove.
The moped driver died at the scene. The car driver was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, where he was treated for shock.
Police have not formally identified the dead man, who was 53.
The name of the car driver was not released by Sussex Police, who operate data protection guidelines.
