As someone with qualifications, strong organisational skills and experience in various establishments, you would think any Brighton employer would snap me up, considering there is meant to be a skills shortage.
When you consider we are living in the 21st Century and in a city where the people they want to employ on £5 per hour or less are expected to pay rents in excess of £120 per week and unaffordable mortgages, you know they are not going to employ you when you ask at the interview for a decent, liveable wage.
It is about time the Brighton employers and our MPs realised £4-£5 an hour is not a liveable wage and it is about time they started paying wages that reflect living in the 21st Century - not the 19th.
I've no doubt when it comes to their own wages, it is a different story.
