Double standard? To get your money back if you pay for a service and don't get it seems fair.
So the Brighton and Hove City Council has recovered £50,000 from Sussex Police because they failed to provide the service they were paid for.
Following the same logic, or legal argument, those who bought residents' parking permits in the RSCH area didn't get the service they were entitled to either, nor did the hospital whose payment to set up the scheme included the cost of extra wardens.
How can the council justify not repaying those it has charged for a service it has not provided?
