With regard to the proposed housing development for Varndean College fields: Why does Varndean even have to consider selling off any of its land?
Isn't the Government giving sufficient or any funding to the college?
Already, houses have been built in Mulberry and Draxmount, where there used to be woods. How much of this green and pleasant land are we going to allow houses to be built on?
Are going to be a concrete jungle like London, where our school children cannot enjoy their childhood in a green environment?
I appreciate we are lucky in this part of the country.
Having spent my childhood in London, it was a joy to watch my children and now their children enjoying open spaces, but for how long?
