Members of the Parachute Regiment will drop in on a seaside festival as part of a recruitment drive.

They will be at the Worthing Seafront Festival which runs from Friday, July 27 to July 29.

The paras will invite onlookers to tackle an assault course or do a parachute jump from a tower.

School-leavers who are interested in one of the 140 different careers in the armed forces will be able to meet some of the regiment's young recruits or ask advice from more experienced soldiers.

Major Stuart Tootal, of B Company, 1st Battalion The Parachute Regiment, said: "There is no better way of finding out about Army life than to see these people in action and witness their commitment."

Other Army entertainment provided at the festival will include military music and a laser dome.
