Geoff Pitcher is champing at the bit to get in another 90 minutes for Albion tomorrow.

The midfielder made an impressive debut in the 3-0 friendly win at Folkestone on Wednesday.

Now the 25-year-old is in line again as manager Micky Adams picks two Albion XIs, one to play at Aldershot and the other at Hailsham.

Pitcher, signed from non-league Kingstonian, said: "I'm itching to get another game now I've got my first game under my belt.

"The boss said he would ease me in gently at the beginning of the pre-season but obviously he felt I was up to it for the Folkestone game. I enjoyed that. We'd been training hard for ten days so it was nice to actually get a game in.

"The big difference from playing non-league I found was the pace the side pass the ball around.

"But you do that more when you play with better players. It certainly suited me and hopefully I can get more used to the differences by playing again.

"But the big benefit of friendlies is that it gives you a chance to improve your match fitness. That is the most important thing."

Pitcher believes the spirit among the players is good as the Seagulls build up for the new campaign after lifting the Third Division title.

He added: "You have got to go into the the season confident otherwise you are on a hiding to nothing."

He predicts he can make a big impact with the help of Adams.

Pitcher said: "I spoke to Oxford but as soon as I knew Brighton were interested in me that was it because I knew Micky was the manager who could get the best out of me."
