Visitors to a Sussex farm could well bump into a Wild West cowboy in what is thought to be Britain's biggest maze.
The rider is part of an intricately designed maze, cut out of a maize crop, which opened yesterday at Tulleys Farm, in Turner's Hill, near Crawley.
Farm owner Stuart Beare said: "There are about three-and-a-half miles of pathways in the shape of a cowboy on horseback.
"It could take an hour or two to solve but there are refreshments half-way round.
"The cattle maize will grow about a foot a week, reaching eight or nine feet by mid-August."
The maize maze will remain open until September 16, when the crop will be harvested.
Visitors to the farm can also spot cowboys and Indians and try prospecting for precious stones in the gem mine.
Tulleys Farm can be found by following the RAC signs from Junction 10 of the M23. For details, see www.themaizemaze.com
