Donna Percival (Letters, July 12) hails the emancipation of women by the appointment of our new acting female chief constable, yet adds she hopes for more attention to "women things".
How about introducing a new pink, flowery uniform too?
The police are here to serve all citizens. I wish for fair, honest and human policing, regardless of sex.
