Thieves stole thousands of pounds' worth of goods from Woolworths in Worthing despite setting off the burglar alarm.
Raiders broke into the store in Montague Street at some time on Monday night or Tuesday morning, setting off the alarm.
The thieves made off with cash, computer hardware and software, DVDs, mobile phones and gift vouchers.
The DVDs were taken without their outer covers, as were some computer items.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Contact DC Gary Tattersall on 0845 6070999.
