The Tories have severe amnesia. Every time they criticise our public services, we need to remind them that the remaining problems are because of 18 years of Tory underfunding.
Now the amnesia is spreading. Their parliamentary candidate accuses John Prescott (Opinion, May 21) of aggression and bullying when he visited George Street, Hove, on May 10.
He came to meet members of the public and shopkeepers and to see the improvements that increased investment are bringing.
I was there and remind the Tory candidate that it was the Tories who were screeching, jeering, jostling and shoving.
Mr Prescott was so much of a gentleman that he offered her the opportunity to make her point to the public - an offer which she took. Has she forgotten already?
