In the time since Warren Morgan made the bizarre assertion (Opinion, May 1) that I am a Conservative, I have discussed the matter widely and learned a great deal.
Referred by Millbank to the Labour Party's regional press office, I was told these sort of things are inevitable when people write to newspapers. This strikes me as a less-than-principled attitude. Of course, if Mr Morgan ever cracked a joke, one would regard it all a bit differently, but I fear he cannot realise that.
