Whoever thought of matching English Soprano Felicity Lott with Irish Mezzo-Soprano Ann Murray should be praised.

I have heard them individually and they are great on the operatic stage but put together in recital as a duet they add far more to the sum of their parts.

With these two ladies, one diva plus one diva equalled superb singing of the highest order.

Their voices matched and melded seamlessly and they made each piece - whether a song by Schumann, Gounod or a show stopper by Rossini - something, very special. There was more to them than their singing. As a comedy duo they sparkled.

These two songbirds came across as serious singers, certainly, but also as two mischievous schoolgirls having a good time on the town This was a show with an astronomical feel-good factor These are two performers who still retained their sense of fun.
