I thought it couldn't get worse than Tory Adur District Council trying to force shopkeepers in Southwick Square to pay a 60 per cent increase in their rents.
Then I saw the letter from Labour Councillor Mike Willson (Opinion, April 20), who reminded us that last year, when Labour was trying to run the council, it wanted to employ another estates valuation officer, paid for by the council raising rents in Southwick Square by 160 per cent.
