This picture could show the face of the man who threatened and robbed an 18-year-old woman in Crawley.

The victim was walking in an alleyway between Baker Close and Malthouse Road, Southgate, on April 6 when she realised the man was following her.

As she walked into the alleyway he ran up to her and demanded money. He became aggressive and repeated his demand.

The woman handed over her purse containing £25. It was found later in Brewer Road, Southgate, with all her cards but without the cash.

The robber was black, in his 30s, 5ft 4in tall, stocky and clean shaven.

He wore a baseball cap with a white motif, a black bomber jacket with elasticated cuffs and zip, a black sweatshirt with a small white motif and black jogging bottoms with an Adidas motif on the right thigh. He wore Reebok trainers.

Detective Constable Celia MacDonald is appealing to anyone who recognises the man to contact her on 0845 6070999.
