A student sold one of her holiday snaps for £125 to supermodel Kate Moss.

Jessie Fuller, 20, from Lewes, took the skyscraper photo one afternoon in Los Angeles during her gap year.

She was amazed when her picture was snapped up by the celebrity model when it was auctioned at a small London gallery.

The aspiring photographer, now an art and design student in London, was given her big break when she got involved in setting up Fashion 2000, a charity auction of photographs.

The former Priory School pupil, who studied art at Lewes Tertiary College and Brighton College of Technology, said: "As I helped put up the exhibition, the organisers asked if I wanted to have one of my photos included, even though it was supposed to be for professional photographers only.

"Because the theme of the exhibition was fashion, I decided to submit a photo of a skyscraper that had a huge clothes advertisement draped from one side of it. I didn't think anyone would want to buy it but the organisers insisted on including it.

"When I went to the private view of the exhibition, I saw Kate Moss but I was too shy to talk to her.

"The show went on for a few days and then a week later I got a phone call from the organiser saying someone had bid £125 for my photo.

"I asked her to find out who it was and she got back to me a few weeks later and said it was Kate Moss."

Proceeds from the sale went to help people with HIV and Aids.
