Lewes kept their promotion bandwagon rolling in Division Three after Warren Bagnall grabbed a hat-trick in an entertaining 4-2 win at home to Dorking.

They took the lead after only eight minutes when Bagnall spotted Dorking's Christof Liasides off his line and neatly chipped the keeper.

On 23 minutes Richard Hudson finished well with his left foot to give Lewes a 2-0 lead, but the visitors caught the home defence napping with a quickly taken free kick two minutes from half time which was finished off by Stuart White.

A mistake by goalkeeper Florian Ludwig gifted the Chicks an equaliser on 70 minutes when he fumbled a cross to leave Gary Syrett a simple tap in.

Lewes regained the lead on 76 minutes when Paul Thomsett headed back across goal for Bagnall to finish from close range. A minute from time Bagnall completed his hat-trick with a solo effort.

A catalogue of errors saw Horsham tumble to a 4-1 defeat in Division Two against Bansted Athletic at Queen Street.

The visitors took the lead in the 27th minute. Goalkeeper Ian Chatfield missed his clearance on the edge of the penalty area, Dave Odongo could only deflect the ball towards goal with his arm and Marcel Dennis tapped home.

It was 2-0 in injury time when Martin Lempriere sliced a clearance towards his own goal and Dennis pushed the ball passed the advancing Chatfield before firing into the net.

Horsham pulled one back on 56 minutes. Roger Barnes' shot was blocked in front of goal but Ryan Andrews charged in to bundle the ball over the line.

Banstead restored their two-goal lead just two minutes later. Keith Ward pumped the ball forward from 40 yards out on the left and saw it catch the wind and fly over a bemused Chatfield into the net.

Kevin Webb made it 4-1 with three minutes remaining.
