MONDAY: Darren Freeman is ruled out for the rest of the season after discovering he needs a third hernia operation.

Adams reflects on a good weekend for Albion, despite the Halifax washout.

Hartlepool's long unbeaten run is ended at Southend and Chesterfield are beaten at Leyton Orient.

"The results were excellent for us apart from Cardiff winning," says Adams. "But I am not worried about the others, three wins takes us up and it is all in our own hands.

"To be honest I can't see anything stopping us now, but there is still work to be done."

TUESDAY: The promotion target is reduced to two wins from seven games as Albion beat lowly Lincoln 2-0 at Withdean.

Paul Rogers' sixth of the season and Bobby Zamora's 26th ensure a 16th home win out of 19 for the Seagulls.

Rogers' header from Kerry Mayo's long throw is straight off the training ground.

Adams reveals: "I normally give the players the morning off before night games, but I had them in for set pieces.

"One of those is getting Paul Rogers around the back from a long throw and it worked a treat."

WEDNESDAY: Adams issues a title warning to Chesterfield.

"The championship is a realistic goal for us now," he declares. "They have still got to come to Withdean, so it's all to play for."

Lee Steele scores on his comeback from a three-match ban and Matt Wicks also returns from persistent hamstring trouble in a 2-2 draw for the reserves at Cheltenham.

THURSDAY: Adams revs Albion up for the possible promotion clincher at Plymouth.

"We have got to put our foot down on the pedal and go for it," he says.

Former Albion boss Liam Brady joins the Zamora fan club after watching him score against Lincoln.

"He is a real asset to the club and I hope they can keep him," says Brady.

FRIDAY: Charlie Oatway warns against a repeat of his two-goal show in a 3-3 thriller at Plymouth last season.

"If I play all I will be concentrating on is us getting the right result. I don't care if I don't get past the halfway line!"
