Markets in other towns are thriving, so we need to take a radical look at Brighton's Open Market to try to analyse why it is in decline.
It should be made more visible from London Road by demolishing the four small shops between Sony and Forfars.
The new canopy is an attempt to be fashionable while at the same time being thoroughly unfit for the job.
